As an ex radio host, I didn’t think podcasting would be that difficult, but I soon realised it’s a very different world to live broadcasting. I’m so grateful for the team at SoundCartel because their industry knowledge is truly second to none. The successful launch of the Big Sis Pod would never have happened without them. I have so much fun working with them all and love coming in to use their professional sound studio.

Why Podcasts Work for Thought Leaders
Podcasting is one of the most powerful ways to build your personal brand and establish true authority in your industry.
It allows you to deepen the connection with your audience by meeting them where they’re at. Your voice becomes part of their day, creating an intimacy that’s hard to replicate in crowded social media feeds.
Podcasts also open doors to new listeners who are actively seeking knowledge, inspiration, and insight. It’s an evergreen platform where your content doesn’t disappear after 24 hours, but builds over time creating a binge-worthy body of work that builds long-term trust.
As a thought leader, you don’t just want to start a podcast, you want to create something meaningful. A show that aligns with your values, attracts the right clients and collaborators, and positions you as a credible, consistent voice in your space.
Because your voice deserves to be heard, clearly and confidently.

FAQ’s about podcasting for thought leaders
What will it cost to launch my podcast?
Podcast costs vary depending on your goals, production style, and the specific needs of your show. At SoundCartel, our structured packages start from $1,190 per month for multiple episodes – with options to scale based on the level of creative and technical support required. Some podcasts include extras such as in-studio recording, guest coordination, or custom marketing assets, which can influence the overall investment.
Because every podcast is unique, the best way to understand what your show might cost is to book a free strategy call with us. We’ll discuss your ideas, outline your options, and provide a clear, tailored estimate to help you launch a professional, high-impact podcast tailored to you, your brand or business.
How long should my podcast be?
There’s a sweet spot between 20–30 minutes, but what matters most is the content itself. If the conversation is valuable and engaging, listeners will stay with you whether it runs a little longer or shorter.
How many episodes should I include in a season?
A strong season usually runs 6–10 episodes. Focus on quality over quantity and don’t stretch for more content if it isn’t there. It’s better to have fewer, well-produced episodes than content that feels forced or unfinished.
How do I get my podcast onto Spotify, Apple Podcasts, YouTube, etc?
We handle all of that for you. Once your podcast is created, we set up an RSS feed, which distributes your show automatically to platforms like Spotify, Apple Podcasts, YouTube, and more.
How often should I release episodes?
A fortnightly release schedule works well for most creators. It gives you time to plan and record without feeling rushed, while keeping your audience engaged consistently.
How can I make money from my podcast?
The most effective approach is often sponsorships. You may also consider running ads or using your podcast as a platform to attract new clients, sell services, or build your brand authority.
What equipment do I need?
At minimum, you’ll need a microphone, boom stand, headphones, and a laptop. We’ll guide you through selecting the right setup for your space, whether you’re recording at home or in a studio.
Do I need to use a professional studio?
Not necessarily. We can help you record from home with the right setup. However, if you’d like, you can also use our in-house professional podcast studio.
Will you help me come up with content ideas?
Yes. During your strategy session, we’ll help brainstorm and map out content ideas. Since you know your craft and audience best, your input is key, but we’ll guide you in shaping topics that resonate.
How long does it take to launch a podcast?
It depends on how quickly you can record your first episodes. With everything in place, we can launch a podcast in as little as 8 weeks.
Can you help with video podcasts or social clips?
Absolutely. We can produce video versions of your podcast as well as social media clips. Every plan includes one audiogram per episode, and you can add extra clips or video edits as needed.
